This photo was taken at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, Maryland this past weekend. The elephants playing in the pool were, by far, the highlight of this particular visit. Although it was not terribly hot outside, all four of the elephants (Felix, Anna, Samson, and Tuffy) enjoyed playing in the pool for about an hour. Felix, Anna, and Samson were contained in the pool on the right and Tuffy was all alone in the pool on the left. One of the keepers was keeping an eye on the elephants to ensure that the elephant's play time did not escalate to something more hostile, especially between Felix and Samson.
